BHUBANESWAR— In a major boost to indigenous and fast growing sports in the state, a state of the art Roll Ball infrastructure facility is under process at the iconic Kalinga Stadium complex in Bhubaneswar. This milestone marks a significant leap forward for Odisha’s sporting landscape, positioning the state as a premier hub for Roll Ball in India.
A Vision Realized Through Unrelenting Dedication. The creation of this facility is the fruition of tireless work and advocacy by the Odisha Roll Ball Association (ORBA) & Roll Ball Federation of India (RBFI). Over the years, ORBA officials, coaches and core committee members have worked continuously behind the scenes to push for dedicated infrastructure, recognizing the immense potential of local Roll Ball athletes and players across the districts.

The project’s success was made possible by the decisive backing of the Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha. Known for transforming Odisha into the sports capital of India, the Sports Department provided the necessary administrative approval, spatial allocation within Kalinga Stadium and infrastructure support to bring the project to life.
Extending heartfelt gratitude, ORBA & Roll Ball Federation of India expressed deep appreciation to the Hon”ble Sports Minister, Sports & Youth Services Department & all others for their unwavering commitment to diversifying sports development beyond traditional discipline, Kalinga Stadium Administration & PWD Engineers for delivering high-quality construction and precision planning on schedule.

With this dedicated Roll Ball venue at Kalinga Stadium, Odisha’s Roll Ball athletes will no longer need to compromise on training conditions.
The facility will immediately begin hosting grassroots training camps, state-level selection trials and specialized coaching programs.
With this world-class Roll Ball infrastructure now operational, Bhubaneswar is well positioned to host upcoming National Roll Ball Championships giving local talent an unprecedented platform to shine on the national & International arena.
