On the third night of the Democratic National Convention, over 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in Union Park while pro-Israel demonstrators assembled near the United Center. Despite a heavy police presence, the gatherings remained mostly peaceful, although minor injuries and arrests occurred. Green Party candidate Jill Stein criticized the police response, while Police Superintendent Larry Snelling defended the actions taken.
