‘American Airlines didn’t care’: Albany exec Dan McCoy misses DNC flight over chicken sandwich, tries to use status to board

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy tried to use his political influence to board an American Airlines flight after missing his boarding call while getting Chick-fil-A. Despite mentioning his title, the airline staff did not reopen the doors. McCoy and a staffer later booked a different flight. No public funds were used for the trip, said McCoy’s spokesperson.
