ULFA(I) threatens Assam with 24 bombs, triggers statewide security alert

The banned ULFA(I) claimed to have planted bombs at 24 locations across Assam, prompting thorough search operations by security forces. An email from ULFA(I) listed 19 bomb sites, citing technical failure for the bombs not detonating. Bomb disposal squads have been dispatched, yet no explosives have been found so far, though some ‘bomb-like materials’ were recovered in a few districts.
