‘Resigned willingly’, says Champai Soren after quitting as J’khand CM

Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren resigned on Wednesday, allowing Hemant Soren to reclaim the position following his recent bail in an alleged money laundering case. Hemant Soren had to step down as CM due to his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) related to a land scam case. Sources within the JMM revealed that Hemant’s return as chief minister was endorsed by the party’s allies, Congress and the RJD, as reported by PTI. Champai Soren had taken over as the 12th chief minister of Jharkhand after Hemant’s arrest.
