Twenty Nigerian medical students who were kidnapped on August 15 while traveling to a convention in Benue state have been released after more than a week in captivity, according to police. Details of their release remain undisclosed. The abduction adds to the growing number of ransom kidnappings in Nigeria. The Nigerian Medical Students Association confirmed their safety.
